Western Wildlife Corridor is a unique urban land trust focused on volunteer habitat restoration and free environmental education. Four years into their five-year strategic plan, they have surpassed their membership goal, growing from 100 to over 300 households, and are 90% toward increasing their stewarded land by 50% to 438 acres. In 2022, Kirby Nature Preserve was recognized as a “Greenspace Gem” by Green Umbrella, the regional climate collective. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Kirby Nature Center Playscape.
