Founded in 1982 by a coalition of Northern Kentucky churches, Welcome House has grown from an emergency assistance center into a comprehensive homelessness services organization with programs spanning 40 counties across Kentucky. Operating from a new facility in Covington, Welcome House offers emergency shelter, street outreach, rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, and 93 affordable housing units to help men, women, and children move from housing uncertainty to lasting stability. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support Welcome House Shelter for Homeless Women, Children and Families.
