Established in 2007 from the merger of two smaller United Way organizations, UnitedWay of the Greater Capital Region (UWGCR) serves a five county region in Upstate New York. Annually UWGCR awards $1.9 million to the community in the forms of grants to 60 programs in the region, focusing on basic needs, education, financial stability and health. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Mobile Summer Food program.
