For 108 years, St. Rita School for the Deaf has provided educational services to more than 2,600 children who are deaf or have hearing and language impairments, expanding over time to serve students with Apraxia, Down Syndrome, and Autism. Of its current 71 students, nearly all require financial support to attend, and the school sends 70 percent of its graduates on to post-secondary education while others enter the workforce through its vocational programs. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Workforce Development Program.
