Initially a regional organization based in Cleveland, the Mental Health & Addiction Advocacy Coalition (MHAC) has grown in size and impact to become an effective statewide organization since 2012 when a coalition of Southwest Ohio non-profit leaders in the mental health and substance abuse sectors recognized the need for a neutral convener and requested they join forces. Since then, MHAC has served that role and provides a strong and unified voice at the policy level to maintain and grow funding. A gift from Pfau Foundation will support their Strengthening behavioral health care for children and young adults in Southwest Ohio.
