May-We-Help was founded in 2009 and its' first employee was hired in 2010. They ended 2011 with 34 active volunteers and 36 completed assistance device projects. The organization currently has a 6-member board of directors that are overseeing the expansion and impact of the original mission statement, which is — "A nonprofit of skilled volunteers gathered together to create custom assistance devices and adaptations for individuals with disabilities at no cost to them." A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support general operations.
