Inner City Youth Opportunities (ICYO) is a small, community-based agency founded by Jeanne Bell that has spent more than 30 years providing academic and enrichment programming to children in under-resourced neighborhoods like Avondale and Bond Hill. Using a developmental asset-building approach that combines tutoring, mentoring, and life skills instruction, ICYO has served well over 1,500 students, with its current Academic Intervention Program supporting 60 children from Cincinnati Public Schools. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support Bridging the Gap, Academic Intervention Program.
