Cincinnati Urban Promise (CUP) was founded 16 years ago by Abe and Joni Brandyberry to serve the Westwood, East Westwood, and North Fairmount neighborhoods, where childhood poverty rates are high, and many students face significant challenges. After operating for 14 years as a small afterschool program in Northside, CUP was gifted a former nursing home in Westwood, allowing them to expand programming and move closer to their vision of providing comprehensive wrap-around services for families in need. CUP serves children ages 2.5 to 18, their families, and adult community members through programs like a food pantry and life skills courses. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Leaders of Promise After School Program (2024-2025).
