Camp Koinonia is a week-long residential camp program for youth with multiple disabilities. The camp program is part of a service learning course at the University of Tennessee where the students receive 12 weeks of course instruction on working with individuals with disabilities and then become the staff of the camp for the final culminating project. Camp Koinonia offers a once 1:1 camper to counselor ratio and in some cases a 2:1 depending on a camper's needs. The camp offers therapeutic activities in sport and games, music and movement, cooking, horses, ropes course, canoes, sensory, and pre-vocational training activities. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support Camp Koinonia Scholarship Program.
