Stepping Stones Center works to fill gaps in services to children and adults with disabilities. Children's Home of Northern Kentucky (CHNK) was founded in 1882 to provide for orphans and needy children in the area. College Mentors for Kids was founded in 1995 by two Indiana University students who wanted to impact the lives of underprivileged children. Wildwood Programs Inc., the Learning Disabilities Association of the Capital Region, is a private, non-profit human service organization, founded in 1967, that provides an array of services to individuals with disabilities. Wildwood has grown into a strong and well-respected agency in the community. They now annually serve over 1300 individuals from a thirteen county region in the Capital Region of New York State. Boys & Girls Clubs of America has been serving our nation's youth since 1860, when the first Boys & Girls Club was established in Hartford, Connecticut. Since then, the organization has grown to serve more than 4 million youth annually in some 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs around the world. In Cincinnati, the Boys & Girls Clubs have been working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances for over 70 years. Beech Acres Parenting Center serves families and seeks to enhance and strengthen caregiver-child relationships. The Parent Child Interactive Therapy is a model used at the center to improve relationships and cultivate positive behavior among children who have experience behavioral problems, suffered the loss of an adult, or suffered a traumatic event or abuse. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Family Peer Support program at Academy of World Languages.

Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association (BBBS) of Cincinnati promotes the development of youth through quality mentoring relationships. They help children reach their potential by providing them with caring, adult role models who guide them in making positive choices about their future. BBBS Cincinnati has been serving the children and families of Cincinnati for nearly 100 years. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support its Community Based Mentoring Program.

Lighthouse Youth Services began its work in 1969 when a group of community volunteers opened Ohio's first group home for delinquent girls in the custody of the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Originally called New Life for Girls, the agency changed it addressed the unmet needs of youth and families throughout the Greater Cincinnati area, and for boys with serious delinquent behaviors throughout the state of Ohio. Founded in 1958 as Cincinnati Civic Ballet, the Cincinnati Ballet Company presented its very first performance at University of Cincinnati's Wilson Auditorium in 1964. From their humble beginnings as a civic dance group, Cincinnati Ballet has matured into one of the nation's most respected regional ballet companies. ProKids is a non-profit agency dedicated to ensuring a safe, permanent, and nurturing home for every child. Children who have been abused and neglected are given a powerful voice by ProKids' volunteer CASAs - Court Appointed Special Advocates - volunteers whose role is to serve the best interests of children who are the subjects of child protection services in Hamilton County Juvenile Court. The Art Academy of Cincinnati (AAC) is 140 years old. Its 1,100 living alumni are fine artists, graphic artists, art teachers, art professors, and gallery owners in Cincinnati and around the world.The Art Academy of Cincinnati offers Associate, Bachelor, and Masters degrees as well as continuing art education and art outreach to adults and teens. People Working Cooperatively is an organization that performs essential repairs and services so that low-income homeowner's can remain in their homes, living independently in a safe, sound environment. Safe Haven Farms is a non-profit organization offering residential, day and community services for individuals on the autism spectrum. It provides a variety of meaningful living, working, learning and leisure activities in a safe and accepting farm environment, where every individual is respected as a valued and contributing community member. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support their Therapeutic Arts Program.

On October 9, 1978, a small group of parents and physicians met to discuss a pressing need "“ a nearby, low-cost "home away from home" for parents and other family members of seriously ill children being treated at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. A much-needed 20-bedroom home opened in 1982. Since then, the House has grown to 78 bedrooms. A gift from Pfau Foundation will support the Emergency Preparedness Project.

The Sisters of Notre Dame (SND) is an international congregation of 2,000 women serving in eighteen countries. In 1874, SND's arrived in Covington, Kentucky and began teaching at Mother of God School on West 6th Street. Their mission is to serve people through education and other ministries, especially for women and children in urban schools, with the desire to promote the fullness of life for all. The Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education educates about the Holocaust, remembers its victims and acts on its lessons. Through innovative programs and partnerships, CHHE challenges injustice, inhumanity and prejudice, and fosters understanding, inclusion and engaged citizenship. Since 1937, Camp Joy has been providing outdoor experiential programs for inner-city children from the Cincinnati area. In 1959, a 315-acre property in Clarksville, Ohio was purchased to provide a permanent location. Programs have been expanded to include outdoor education programs for schools and leadership programs for all ages. The camp experience has grown to serve those with a variety of challenges including economic, medical, special needs, at risk, and foster children. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Fostering Success program.

Children, Inc. (CI) began as the Cathedral Child Development Center in 1977, a small child care center for low-income families in Covington. Today CI is the largest provider of nationally accredited early childhood education in the Greater Cincinnati region. CI has developed a model network of over 70 family child care providers and provides the largest number of STAR-rated school age programs in Kentucky. Each day CI’s programs serve approximately 3,500 children who are safe, nurtured and prepared for school success. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Children, Inc. Capital District Community Gardens is a private non-profit community service organization that has been helping residents of Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady Counties, in New York, improve their neighborhoods through community gardening, healthy food access and urban greening programs for more than 30 years. The Literacy Network of Greater Cincinnati is a coordinating body for more than 60 literacy programs throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Winners Read Program.

Crayons to Computers provides approximately $1,250,000 worth of free school supplies and educational resources monthly to an average of 100 teacher "shoppers" each day. A teacher shopper takes an average of $700 worth of free educational supplies and resources for their classrooms during each shopping trip. As a result, greater Cincinnati school-age children are equipped with the basic tools they need to engage in their schoolwork and homework. Equinox, Inc., a not-for-profit social services agency in Albany, New York, was founded in 1969 by volunteers to provide assistance to young people in crisis who had become alienated from family, community and traditional social services. Equinox provides a bridge to resources in the community to meet new and emerging needs of youth. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Youth Outreach Center.

Christian Workers for Fellowship (CWFF) Child Development Center was founded in 1969 and incorporated in 1973. CWFF has over 40 years of experience working with children in Greater Cincinnati, specifically, economically disadvantaged children. They strive to provide a loving, nurturing and creative environment for children. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Caring For Homeless Children Program

The Cincinnati Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the nation, established within a decade of the major museums in Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. It was hailed as the "Art Palace of the West" when it opened in 1886. The collection today numbers 60,000 works of art and is the largest art collection in Ohio. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the School-Based Learning through the Art Museum program.

The mission of Hibiscus Children’s Center is to provide safety for abused, abandoned and neglected children through prevention programs, residential programs, shelter programs, and recovery programs. Every month, children and families participate in a variety of Hibiscus Children’s Center programs that prevent child abuse and neglect, and help children recover and rebuild their lives. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Career Pathways to Independence Program.

Established in 1911, Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) provides counseling, rehabilitation, information and employment services to people who are blind, visually impaired, or print impaired in the Greater Cincinnati area. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support CABVI's Music Program for Children Who are Blind or Visually Impaired

Opened in 1999, PLAN of Southwest Ohio is part of larger affiliated network of PLAN organizations across the country (National PLAN Alliance), and was started in the southwest Ohio area by concerned parents who wondered who would care for their sons and daughters with disabilities when they no longer could. PLAN's mission is to offer peace of mind for the future by planning and providing lifelong family surrogacy for people with disabilities. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support expanding staff for the Next Step Program.

The Brighton Center provides family support services, education and leadership to families in Northern Kentucky. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support its Youth Leadership Development program.

Established in 1971, Education Matters (formerly Lower Price Hill Community School) continues to be a trusted community-based organization within the Lower Price Hill neighborhood. The organization provides a broad scope of services designed to support “students” in preparing for college or a skilled job. Services include classes and tutoring leading to completion of GED certificate, Adult Basic Education classes (ABLE), College Bridge classes as well as child care, ESOL and other support services. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the College Bridge Program.

Abilities First is a non-profit organization that serves children and adults with a wide range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, language and cognitive impairments. Founded in 1958, the organization has been a leader in providing services to children and adults with disabilities, developmental delays and other special needs in the region. Today over 1,100 clients are served annually in Butler, Warren, Montgomery, and Hamilton, Preble, Greene and Clark counties in Ohio. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the Sampson's Kids program.

Price Hill Will has undertaken a bold plan of revitalization in East, West and Lower Price Hill. They have rehabbed over 50 residential properties, including the historic Elberon building, which now serves as housing for low income seniors. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the MYCincinnati Expansion.

The Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati (ASGC) was founded in 1970, at a time when autism was rare and misunderstood. Local parents and professionals joined together to support and advocate for families. In the ensuing forty four years the prevalence of autism has escalated dramatically. ASGC has grown as well to continue to provide a variety of services and community outreach opportunities for these local families. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the The Cincinnati Autism Connection program.

The Alliance for Catholic Urban Education (ACUE) is an administrative structure within the Department of Catholic Schools that gives special attention to the six urban elementary schools. ACUE is a targeted attempt to more successfully meet the needs of the schools by ensuring that resources are utilized appropriately to provide the best education possible for urban children. A gift from the Pfau Foundation will support the ACUE Annual Appeal
